Brown Westhead & Mooretea cup and saucer
£195.00Price
Wonderful and richly decorated cup and saucer with vignettes of hand painted pink and white roses with green leaves. The gilding is in the baroque revival style and comprises intricate patterns and designs.
The Staffordshire company of Brown Westhead & Moore are a later invocation of Ridgeway and would go on to become Cauldon. They had a wide output of ceramics with some of their porcelain pieces rivalling Minton and Copeland for quality. This cup and saucer comes with a matching tea plate in the same pattern but with Minton marks, it may have been made later a replacement for the original set.
