French silver tea strainer with cane handle
Henin et Cie - c.1900
Highly unusual French silver tea strainer with swing mechanism. The hinge allows you to tip the strainer to pour the tea and then revert to an upright position with the bowl catching the drips. The cane handle is neatly woven with an attractive black streak through the centre. The edge of the upper strainer section is chased with a leaf motif border. It is the epitome of French Belle Epoqué elegance!
