Grainger Worcester watering can

Grainger Worcester - 1898

This watering can it is wonderfully hand made with scrolling lines, elegant handles and charming little accents. The sweetest part is undoubtedly the sprinkler spout that takes the form of a flower head. Although only really meant for decoration, there are some holes in the spout and a small amount of water does pour through, it is possible it might have been intended for use as a rose water sprinkler.

The decoration is a blush ivory ground painted with soft pink and white roses in pastel tones, these flowers are highlighted in one or two places with raised enamel. The edges are finished in gold, applied both in a dusted and painted finish.

Condition - Excellent
