This box with its chased decoration and gilt interior is of the highest quality and craftsmanship. The sharp detail of the chasing means the surface glitters with intricate patterns of scrolling acanthus.
The main feature of this box is the beautifully smooth and iridescent 'en plein' enamel panel in the centre of the lid, created to simulate turquoise. The skill in achieving the veins in the stone if exceptional.
 
Condition: Very good condition, one small area of wear to the enamel from firing.
