Limoges gothic revival trio painted with knights

This superbly painted trio comprises a tea cup, coffee cup and saucer. It is painted in the gothic revival style and features a myriad of decorative elements including, knights in armour, gothic architecture and tracery, landscapes and jewelling.
Limoges, from the 19th century, was the ceramics centre of France and produced very fine porcelains for the European and American markets. This cup is unmarked but is of the top most quality, executed with exceptional detail and painterly skill.
