Silver and guilloché enamel pill box
Levi & Salaman - Birmingham 1912
The petite pill box with its white and powder blue guilloché enamel lid is opened by pushing a small enamelled button on the edge of the lid. The original gilt interior remains intact as do the clear hallmarks on the base.
The crisp detail of the engine turning to the lid is a precursor to the modernism of Art Deco that would come over a decade later.
Condition: Very good condition, some minor wear in line with age.
